Payment with your own funds
Where a buyer is a cash purchaser (whether from existing investments, equity release or a tax-free lump sum from a pension), the payment of the purchase price is made in accordance with the different steps outlined in the country guides on the site.
MHA works closely with the lawyers, notaries and other professionals whose services may be required for the particular investment, and based on the information MHA receives from the investor, MHA will prepare a budget for the investor which will specify each stage at which funds will need to be transferred to the lawyers.
Bank finance
MHA has a network of professional contacts across various markets and is happy to introduce clients to agents, developers, banks, mortgage brokers, surveyors, and contractors. These professionals work directly for the client and are engaged and paid by the client.
Payment with Cryptocurrency
At the request of several buyers, MHA has put in place a solution that allows property purchases using cryptocurrency.
MHA works with a regulated Payment Services Provider (PSP) based in Singapore. Buyers open a personal account directly with the PSP, which includes the standard Due Diligence checks.
When the property is ready to complete, the buyer transfers their cryptocurrency to their PSP account. The PSP then sells the crypto and converts it into the required currency — such as US dollars, euros, or other major currencies. The funds are credited to the buyer’s PSP account.
The PSP then transfers the converted funds to the lawyers managing the property purchase, following the buyer’s instructions, which has the added benefit of minimising the costs of the transaction.
